When one of our team needed some movement and adjustment in the spine department Connect Chiropractic’s name kept coming up. After heading down to their practice for care we were immediately wowed by this social enterprise, impressed with the values alignment with our work, and not to forget the professional healthcare we received of course!
Connect Chiropractic are forging a name for themselves in providing equitable access to healthcare. They firmly believe that the ability to pay should not impact one’s access to health services. This is why they operate on a koha payment system. After the first consultation and report, you simply pay what you can afford to pay. In their first 18 months they have already been able to subsidise over $200,000 worth of chiropractic care and donated over $8,000 to local community organisations.
We think they are doing really important work in the health equity space, and this is why we gave them a seed gift to enable others to access vital healthcare. The Connect Chiropractic team are using this money to offer their services to referrals from social service providers supporting low income families.
